If the camera preview is not displayed on your smartphone’s screen, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check cable connections
- Verify that all cables are connected in the correct order and securely plugged into their respective connectors.
- If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.
2. Start devices separately
- The issue can occur if devices are started while already connected.
- Ensure that the smartphone and smart glasses are started separately before connecting the cables.
- Once both devices are powered on, connect the cables to the smart glasses and smartphone.
- If this does not resolve the issue, move to the next step.
3. Test for defective cables
- A defective cable can cause the preview to fail.
- Test using a different OTG cable or USB-to-micro USB cable to determine if the issue is with the cable.
- If the preview still doesn’t appear, proceed to the next step.
4. Disable standalone mode
- External cameras or glasses may not be detected in standalone mode. To work around this:
- Turn off all devices.
- Disconnect all cables.
- Turn on the smartphone only and log in to XpertEye.
- Connect the glasses or external camera to the phone.
- The camera preview screen should now display.
