If you’re unable to share your video stream during an XpertEye session, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:
1. Check XpertEye’s access to your camera and microphone
- Open Chrome browser settings by entering
chrome://settings/content
into your URL bar. - Under the Camera and Microphone sections, ensure that the XpertEye site is listed and has permission.
- If the XpertEye site is not present, follow the guidance in the article: "XpertEye is unable to access my camera and/or microphone."
- If permissions are correct but the problem persists, proceed to the next step.
2. Ensure no conflicting applications are running
- Close other video conferencing applications that may be using your webcam or microphone.
- Restart XpertEye and attempt to share your video stream again.
- If this doesn’t resolve the issue, proceed to the next step.
3. Check Chrome profile integrity
- Your Chrome profile may be corrupted or impacted by third-party applications. To test this:
- Open a private browsing window and try accessing XpertEye.
- If the issue persists, use a Guest Chrome profile to test.
4. Check for network security restrictions
- Security measures in your network or firewall may block XpertEye’s video-sharing functionality.
- Perform a test using a different network, such as a 4G/LTE hotspot, to rule out network restrictions.
- If network issues are confirmed, consult with your IT team to configure the firewall appropriately.
5. Run diagnostics
- Open the Settings menu in XpertEye and select the Run diagnostics option.
- Submit the diagnostic results to Customer Support via the contact form.
6. Contact Customer Support
